This piece is a media studies analysis paper that explores the idea of affordances, more specifically imagined affordances, while use the Apple Air Tag as a case study. I used it for a class to connect communications theory to real-world evidence. I conducted research by drawing from authors Peter Nagy and Gina Neff which really helped me grasp the extent of our communication devices functions and how communication technologies have placed the power amongst the users, rather than from within the technologies themselves. For me this is key to understanding our position within future digital communication.
